LG will manufacture its own chip for Smart TV
The upcoming CES 2013 Samsung will be very interesting, because in the event presented a new ARM-based chip. Although this may not be for phones or tablets, but designed specifically for smart TVs, or the famous Smart TV.
The chip in question receives H13 by name, is based on the design of the A15 and will be manufactured using 28nm at TSMC plant in Taiwan. From LG would not refer in detail to the “partnership” with TSMC, but it was learned that the name of the chip comes from “Home Entertainment” (H) and the year of release (2013).
It is expected that the design of LG debuts next year in their smart TVs, but from already suspected-that despite what LG say-this new chip in TVs not only serve but also other devices such as some models of smartphones Korean brand. For now, we must wait until CES for details.
