MediaTek announced its first quad-core SoC based on ARM
The MT6589 chip receives by name and includes among its features: the aforementioned A7 Cortex, PowerVR GPU from Imagination Technologies Series5XT and UMTS modem 8/HSPA Rel + / TD-SCDMA MediaTek’s own.
