MediaTek announced its first quad-core SoC based on ARM

In what they call “the first quad-core World”, has announced a new chip design based on Cortex A7, oriented phones and tablets midrange and offering a cheap and efficient.

The chip receives by name and includes among its features: the aforementioned A7 Cortex, PowerVR GPU from Imagination Technologies Series5XT and UMTS modem 8/HSPA Rel + / TD-SCDMA MediaTek’s own.
