Microsoft has sold 600 million copies of Windows 7 to date
Under computex 2012 technology fair taking place this week, Steve Guggenheimer, sales manager for the area OEM at Microsoft, revealed that the number of licenses of windows 7 that have been sold so far amounts to nothing less than 600 million worldwide, great news for the company headed by Steve Ballmer.
This shows a healthy growth over the 400 million copies were reported sold for just under a year, a figure that grew to 525 million in January this year to reach far in June to 600 million just mentioned.
And although it is the new version of Operating System Windows 8 ta early as October this year, Microsoft remains confident in the success of Windows 7 and in fact, predicted that only during this 2012 will be shipped 350 million licenses of that software, making it the most popular version of history.
