Microsoft has special keyboard and mouse for Windows 8

Not only the Surface will debut with Windows 8: today officially introduced a set of keyboard and specifically designed for this operating system. With the launch, the company insists that these accessories will continue to be used, and not change us all to touch screens.

The grace of the new peripherals is that they are designed to be ambigables with laptops (as tablets). Connect via Bluetooth, so you do not require a USB port to work with the device.

The first model is the keyboard Wedge Mobile, which will cost USD $79.95. It’s thin and light, requires a pair of AAA batteries and has a set of buttons with shortcuts to the charms of (the functions of search, share, configuration and devices). Function buttons (F1 to F12) are present, but you must press the Fn key to use them.

The interesting thing about this model is that it comes with a rubber blanket, designed so that when you save the keyboard along with the tablet, not damage the tablet. The cover is also “smart” to remove the keyboard, the device switches itself on from standby mode. It can be bent, allowing use as a holder for a tablet.

The companion to this keyboard is the Wedge Touch, a mouse will cost USD $69.95 and has a rather strange design. It’s lighter and smaller mouse designed by Microsoft to date. Operates on a single AA battery for 18 months, they say, and the front is touchscreen. This area recognizes vertical and horizontal movements to scroll. It also includes BlueTrack laser technology, which Microsoft said improves mouse tracking on any surface.

The last set of changes are the Sculpt and Keyboard Mobile, updated versions of Explorer mouse and keyboard Bluetooth Touch Mobile, which now have dedicated buttons for Windows 8, without major changes. Both cost $49.95 USD.

It is hoped that all this goes on sale along with Windows 8, 26 October.
