Microsoft opens to the public its new social network called So.cl
A year ago, Microsoft announced so.cl , a division project fuse (Future Social Experiences) in the company, which seeks to open the next social network of the future, or something like that. The portal was changing and for a time, was subjected to a period of beta testing or closed , until today opened its doors to the general public without requiring invitation to use the service.
But in addition to this opening, was a complete redesign in the UI that brings So.cl other existing services, such as Pinterest, which is explained in the words of Lili Cheng, person in charge of Fuse, who said the idea is to “democratize design and make beautiful posts”, justifying the focus on images and visual content so.cl.
And that is to publish a post, we must first choose the topic which will be discussed (music, cats, etc) and write into a search box, which will give us a space for the title, one for photos and videos from search in Bing (music, cats, etc), and finally the ability to post some text. This then becomes a sort of “Tumblr blogging”, which will be posted to your friends and also in a publicly available index, which can be explored according to our interests (music, cats … you understand) and see what strangers have posted about it.
