Microsoft says Internet Explorer 10 browser is the most energy-efficient
In a recent self-promotion that has Microsoft in its official blog , claim to have interesting information about energy expenditure caused by the use of a web browser on the computer, something that until now we had not always asked to associate such spending physical components of the computer as the central processor and 3D graphics.
However, in Redmond say that this point is important because if you use Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8, you can use up to 18% less energy than with other alternatives. In fact, they claim that if all the people who have Chrome or Firefox are changed to the product of Microsoft, it would save enough energy to power 10,722 U.S. homes for one year.
Clearly calls into question the objectivity of the study, it was made by Microsoft without revealing many details of how they got the results. But to be partially true, it would be an aspect to consider when choosing a web browser, especially considering that the energy savings can contribute to extending the battery backup of our portable devices.Batería, battery, Energía, energy, IE 10, IE10, Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer 10, Microsoft
