Microsoft Security Essentials is not enough AVTest certification

Microsoft Security Essentials is not enough AVTest certification

The free suite lost AVTest in their latest test of protection level (between September and October), reaching a score of just 1.5, the maximum of 6.0 given in this category.

Microsoft Security Essentials just spent 64% of total security level test of the test suite AVTest, a percentage that does not cover the requirements for certification AVTest, and is also well below the 89% achieved by most security suites evaluated by AVTest.

From the security suite stands evaluated by BitDefender, taking the highest scores (between free and paid apps). Among the free ZoneAlarm Security Suite Free + Check Point is built with the highest scores.

Since the security suite integrated Windows Defender Windows 8 shares the same detection engine that Security Essentials, for now I would urge users of these products to seek another suite, at least until Microsoft strengthen its security suite and put the remaining level suites evaluated.

They can appreciate the full tests AVTest site .
