MIPS: The object of desire

MIPS, driving company, which recently released its new architecture APTIV , has become the object of desire of many companies in Silicon Valley, for as we report from Bright Side of News, there are several companies interested in acquiring it.

Recently we learned that one of the MIPS is interested in AMD , but there are other companies interested in acquiring MIPS among which we have Intel, Apple, Qualcomm, and recently have joined them: and even ARM, which owns the popular ecosystem.

The MIPS ARM interest, made things very interesting, because if it were to acquire MIPS, would have access to the very mature 64-bit architecture of MIPS (released in 1991) and the many military contracts (U.S. Navy) , industrial and even treated with the Chinese government (the Chinese Loongson CPUs are based on MIPS), and controls the two largest market ecosystems.

Apparently MIPS is in negotiations with these six companies, so that within a few months “surprise” some of them will be news to the new holder of MIPS and its associated ecosystem.
