More details of the new CPUs FX-9590 and AMD FX-9370
A few minutes ago announced its new microprocessors AMD FX-9000 Series , but did not provide many details, but we soon get them through DIIT.
The new chips amd FX-8590 and FX-8370 have a TDP of 220W, TDP far beyond what we imagined (140W), and apparently is because they continue to be based on piledriver microarchitecture original (improvements introduced in Piledriver +), as a result, in terms of features, the new FX-9000 does not introduce anything new outside of their greater frequency.
Here the full specifications of the new AMD microprocessors:
According to AMD, the new FX-8590 microprocessor performance provide almost 20% higher than the Intel Core i7-3770K in multi-threaded applications like Handbrake intensive, application in which even exceeds the performance of an Intel Core i7-3960X ( have to wait a few more days to check it when brought to light the first reviews of the chip in the coming days).
These microprocessors, like product line Intel Core Extreme Edition will be sold unrefrigerated standard, which requires users to purchase a cooling system able to deal with its high TDP.
AMD promotes its two new microprocessors as the ideal companion for video cards Radeon HD 7990 “Malta” and Radeon HD 7970 “Tahiti XT2/XT”.
Yet know its price, but we assume to be much higher than other FX-Series microprocessors.
