A story that should not be very happy boys from Cupertino: claims to have overthrown the signing of the in the market for selling and renting movies online.

As we see, Netflix ranks first in 2011, while Apple’s share dropped to 32.3 percent last year, up from 60.8 percent in 2010 … worth mentioning that in the United States market rent and sell movies over the Internet has grown considerably in recent years, to generate in 2011 $ 992 million, according to IHS this year they expect even double that amount.

Of course, do not take a genius to understand what is happening: the number of devices with Internet access (tablets, phones, smart TVs, etc), and our consumption habits have changed audiovisual content. So more and more users of these services and renting movies online series …

And to understand why Netflix is growing in the United States face while Apple falls, it is not to be destroyed neurons in both thinking and brooding: Apple TV has not taken off and the sale / rental of audiovisual content is not the core business apple, while it is what the guys are based Netflix. Now … Can GooglePlay and service rental / sale of certain movies that premiered recently in Spain , to fight back to Netflix? Matter of time to find out.
