NVIDIA introduces four new models of notebook graphics chips
No big celebrations or entertainment news, Nvidia has released in the market four new graphics chip for laptops (notebooks), which as of now are available to system builders include them in their latest offerings, either updating previous models of GPUs or showing a new approach because it gives new NVIDIA both. In summary, we have:
- GeForce GT 645M: Update to the geforce GT 640M. Like its predecessor, has 384 CUDA cores, however, the core runs at a higher frequency of 710MHz. Supports DDR3 and GDDR5 memory with 128-bit interface.
- GeForce GT 625M: Brought to replace the GeForce GT 620M. Iguala its 96 CUDA cores and frequency of 625MHz on the GPU. The only obvious change is the increased support for the memory interface, which can now be 128 bit.
- GTX GeForce 670MX: is positioned above the GTX 670M. GK104 kepler GPU 28nm made with 960 CUDA cores. The core runs at 600MHz and 1800MHz GDDR5 memory on a 192 bit interface.
- GTX GeForce 675MX: Older sister of the GTX 675m. Its core 28nm Kepler also with 960 CUDA cores, although GK106. Runs at a frequency of 600MHz to 1800MHz memory bit in interface 256.
With this, the GTX 675MX is almost like top of the line NVIDIA for notebooks, being surpassed only by the GTX 680M.
