NVIDIA Introduces New GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650
As we advance, Nvidia delayed by one day the launch of these new products, following the release of the iPhone 5 media yesterday September 12. So, now we see that were released two new video cards NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650, available at a price of USD $229 and USD $150 respectively.
First, the GeForce GTX 650 is based on a core gk107 with 384 CUDA Cores, 16 ROPs and 1GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit interface. As for the frequencies, the memory runs at 5GHz effective, while the GPU goes to 1058MHz, without the option to automatically scale when under load, as the NVIDIA GPU Boost technology is reserved for higher end models.
On the other hand, the geforce gtx 660 has a core gk106 with 960 CUDA Cores, 24 ROPs running at 980MHz and 1033MHz scalable via GPU Boost. It has 2GB of GDDR5 memory at an effective rate of 6GHz on an interface of 192 bits.
What’s it worth? In games, things look like this:
