NVIDIA, Qualcomm and MediaTek fighting for their presence in the future Tablet Surface 2

Existing RT Surface are based on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 SoC, but it is rumored that his successor will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC , and apparently this rumor could end up becoming reality, as it has been discovered that currently three companies are in with Microsoft for the Future Surface 2, and one of them is Qualcomm.

has had a very good year 2012 remaining as the largest manufacturer of ARM SoCs industry, controlling 48% of the ARM market and getting exceeded in market value to Intel , its self-declared rival , but curiously failed to be present in the controversial Microsoft Surface tablets RT (rumored to bid before that I can not resist Microsoft).

Qualcomm has had serious problems of availability of its s4 SoC, which have not allowed further increase its dominance in the broad arm ecosystem, because of the known problems with the manufacturing process to 28nm TSMC, but announced that it already is long gone (also manufacture their SoC in GlobalFoundries ), so expect to further increase its market share in the coming year.

The increased availability of Snapdragon SoCs, will allow Qualcomm to be more aggressive competitors like Nvidia and MediaTek, companies that are in talks with Microsoft, to ensure their presence in the future Tablet Surface RT 2. It is still unknown which of these three companies will end by signing contract with Microsoft.
