Office 2013 RTM level reaches
Three months after it was launched version “preview” of Office 2013 , Office software reached its final stage (release to manufacturing or RTM) before release.
“A few moments ago, the Office engineering team finished the Release to Manufacturing (RTM). The milestone means that the code and the test phase of the project is complete, and we are now focused on launching the new Office through multiple distribution channels to our consumers and business customers, “the firm wrote in the official blog.
Those who purchase a copy of Office 2010 from October 19 may obtain a free copy of office 2013 when it is released in the first quarter of next year. Microsoft had previously indicated that the RT devices with Windows 8, which will go on sale this October 26, come with Office 2013 preinstalled. However, this will be the version “preview”.
The blog of Microsoft also adds that the Office 365 enterprise customers will get new options in the next update, which will be deployed in November. The MSDN and TechNet subscribers, as well as manufacturing companies, will gain access to the RTM version of Office 2013 to the middle of next month.
