Panasonic introduces new hybrid laptop with Windows 8
As part of Japan’s CEATEC technology exhibition, which currently takes place without much fanfare, Panasonic is showing an interesting portable folding, the AX series called ultrabook and as its name implies, is focused to fall under the ultra-thin category that are driven by internal Intel platform.
We are facing a hybrid or convertible , the operating system that runs on Windows 8 Pro and has a touch screen of 11.6 “with resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, which is capable of folding at 360° leaving wearing a simple device seen as a tablet, from its initial form as notebook.
In technical terms, it has two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI video output, SD card reader and Ethernet input. In hardware, the hybrid is powered by Intel Core i5 and i7, which can vary in frequency from 1.9GHz 1.7GHz even as consumer preference. In addition there are massive 128GB of storage on a solid state drive (SSD), with 4GB of RAM.
As used operating system Windows 8, will have to wait until the official launch of the new operating system to see the AX Series in Japanese stores, both going on 26 next October . The price has not been specified, which anyway does not matter much until we get news of his arrival in Western lands, if ever.
