PC sales fell 10.9% in the second quarter according to Gartner
The pc market is its tendency to shrink . According to figures published by Gartner, PC shipments fell 10.9% in the second quarter, completing the fifth consecutive period of low.
Units shipped by manufacturers to marketers in the world reached 76 million, which compares to the 85 million sold in the same period last year. Meanwhile, sales fell in all regions.
Lenovo was the least dropped, remaining at the top of the list of manufacturers, followed by HP.
“We’re seeing the market reduction directly linked PCs shrinkage pCs installed base. In emerging markets, the cheap tablets have become the first computing device for many people, that the best are putting off buying a PC, “said the analyst Mikako Kitagawa in a statement.
The firm expects shipments of desktops and laptops down 10.6% over 2013, while sales of tablets will increase 67.9%.
