Process of upgrading to Windows 8 detailed

Windows 8 , the next operating system, promises to be a change as great as it was once Windows 95, a statement with which many users do not agree, despite Microsoft’s explanations .

Leaving aside the controversy over Windows 8, from VR-Zone we detail the process of upgrading from older versions of Windows to the new Windows 8:

Windows XP SP3 to Windows 8
You can only upgrade to 32-bit, during the upgrade process will be retained user documents.

Windows Vista to Windows 8
During the update process will keep your system settings and user files. If is not updated with Service Pack 1 (SP1) only keep user files.

Windows 7 Starter / Home Basic / Home Premium to Windows 8
Will remain the operating system settings, files and user applications.

Windows 7 (any edition) to Windows 8 Pro
They maintain all the existing options, files and applications.

Windows 7 Professional / Enterprise to Windows 8 Enterprise
The upgrade process will retain the system settings, files and applications installed by the user.

It will not be possible to migrate to Windows 8 from other operating systems other than those listed, nor will it be possible to update a 32-bit operating system to 64 bits and vice versa, in any of the above cases will require a team format.
