Prometheus, the new sci-fi bet Ridley Scott, gets new trailer
The first trailer for Prometheus I saw at the cinema, and it’s hard not to get excited: The movie is directed by the legendary Ridley Scott and written by Damon Lindelof, author of many of the episodes of Lost . The film tells the story of team crew of the Prometheus, who in the late twenty-first decides to follow a star map discovered in the paintings of several ancient civilizations on earth.
With it, the explorers plan to discover the origin of humanity, but instead discover something terrible.
Originally the film would be a sequel to the Alien franchise, but ended up resulting in something else, although it occurs in the same alternate universe as Scott said.
In an interview with The Verge , Lindelof explained why it was decided that this film was a prequel, indicating that these films have an inevitable end and all are known (as it inevitably will be Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader). “It was very important to me that Prometheus is not positioned as a prologue to Allen, that in fact if Prometheus is successful, and it was a sequel, the sequel would be Alien,” Lindelof said.
“I also think that Alien is a perfect film as you can do, and I liked the idea of entering a conversation that would take courage to Alien. For example, if for some reason it was wrong to Prometheus, when you went to see Alien see it diminished, “he said.
“My hope is that if they see Prometheus, and you see Allen again, there will be some things that were mysteries before Alien, on which you will have more clarity. But the mysteries that made Alien was great mysteries remain, “he said.
As we await the release promised for June in U.S. ( May 31 in Chile ), the company has undertaken to make an interesting marketing campaign that includes an online game and several trailers that we are revealed little by little the world to be discovered in this film.
