Qualcomm makes demonstrating GPU accelerated computing in its Snapdragon SoC 800

A few days ago Qualcomm made the first demonstrations of its Snapdragon SoC 800 , which showed performance that outpaces any to be put forward. But its great power of and gross are not the only highlights of this SoC.

has made a new demonstration of the power of their SoC 800, this time showing its power calculation GPU computing (GPGPU) using the industry standard API (stand still in draft).

Thanks to the GPU accelerated computing, the Snapdragon SoC can take advantage of its IGP to support CPU, running comfortably computationally intensive image manipulation.

They can appreciate demonstration in the following video:

The ICD (Installable Client Driver) OpenCL for GPU Qualcomm Adreno 330 and (Snapdragon SoC built in 800 and 600), still in state PRELIMINARY but Qualcomm promises that soon launch a completely stable driver.
