Richard Stallman: Ubuntu is as bad as Windows
Richard Stallman, founder of the free software Foundation, in a long blog post FSF launches harsh criticism against Canonical, the developer of the popular Linux distributions: Ubuntu, because Amazon integration with Ubuntu 12.10 .
stallman believes that feature similar to the surveillance tactics of Microsoft Windows operating system, which considers tactics violate the principles of free software, and compared with backdoor Trojans (backdoors), DRM and other malpractices.
Canonical defends mentioning that this feature is an important source of funding that allows them to continue developing open source software for the benefit of the Linux community. Stallman Defense that are just nonsense, because any benefit obtained from the feature does not compensate the loss of reputation that leads to free software to destroy his image of “malware free”.
Stallman calls the community to stop recommending Linux ubuntu and reject for espionage.
