Rumor: AMD change its driver release schedule

Since last month we know that decided to split into two lines of development of drivers: one for their GPUs DirectX 10 and 10.1 (Radeon HD 2000/3000/4000), and another for its GPUs DirectX 11 and 11.1 (Radeon HD 5000 / 6000/7000). Since we get new rumors Benchmark3D, which suggest that we will see more changes in the pattern of release of AMD drivers.

According to rumor, within a few hours AMD will announce its new release schedule for its Catalyst drivers certified (WHQL), which will no longer be released monthly, but more frequently to provide quick solutions to the problems with games Recently.

AMD will focus on quality improvements to meet a schedule of releases, which often introduces very little improvement, also expected a greater number of drivers “preview” and “hotfix”, which will make their appearance along the of new games or when an error is corrected in a game.

This seems to rely on that AMD announced this week launched new versions of its Catalyst drivers , and considering that today is over the month, apparently there will be no designation Catalyst 12.5.

As for future features of the Catalyst drivers, say that probably next week AMD will release a beta driver that eliminates the annoying tearing in the third monitor in Eyefinity3 configurations by mixing different types of outputs (eg DVI + HDMI + DisplayPort). This driver works with the video card HD 7000 Series, and so far it is unknown if it works with earlier models.
