Rumor: Apple plans to reuse AMD Radeon GPUs

The current product line / make use of Nvidia GPUs in many of its models, in contrast to Radeon GPUs used in last year’s models and some years ago. According to new rumors circulating in the industry, Apple would plan reuse AMD GPUs.

The rumors are based on the recently implemented support for AMD Radeon hd 7000 Series operating system Mac OS X 10.8.3 and the recent hiring of new qualified personnel in electrical engineering hardware systems with expertise in graphics processing units ( GPUs) AMD Apple is doing.

This could suggest a possible abandonment of Nvidia GPUs from Apple, but perhaps more likely is that Apple simply has decided to also add support for AMD Radeon HD GPUs in their current Mac / iMac Series.
