Rumor: New NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 D5 arrives this month
Early benchmarks of the GPU were not unimpressive, and blamed the poor performance of the use of DDR3 memory, but as rumored by those dates, Nvidia is preparing a new variant of the GPU, but equipped with GDDR5 memory and a higher core frequency, which according to rumors that their performance will be very close to the geforce GTX 550 Ti.
Having higher frequencies and GDDR5 memory has a price video cards equipped with the new GeForce GT 640 D5 require a 6-pin connector (the GeForce GT 640 DDR3 require no connector), which means that the TDP should be greater than 75W.
The new video card should be available in the course of this month, at a price obviously higher than that of his sister equipped with DDR3.
