Rumor: video card manufacturers are not interested in Tahiti
We know that AMD plans to release this month end (November 27) a new GPU known by its codename Tahiti LE , and that one of the first video card based on the new gpu will be the recently announced Club3D Radeon HD 7870 JockerCard . But according to new rumors, this new GPU has attracted interest from Manufacturers of video cards.
The new Tahiti GPU will perform seemingly intermediate between the GPUs amd Radeon HD 7870 and Radeon HD 7950, but there is not much difference in the price range, or performance between the two GPUs to warrant the development of a new GPU price / performance intermediate between them (many users prefer instead a middle ground between GPU Radeon HD 7770 and Radeon HD 7850). Why many manufacturers apart from Club3D, and VTX3D powercolor (TUL three subsidiaries Corporation) are not interested in launching new products based on Tahiti.
AMD has not come out to deny this rumor, so we have to wait until next week to find out if it ends up settling.
