Samsung launches dual-core SoC Coretx Exynos 5-A15
The new SoC Samsung Exynos 5 are based on the core ARM Cortex-A15, and initially have up to two nuclei (in future SoCs are expected Exynos 5 with up to four cores), two vector units Neon Engine, a memory controller LPDDR3- 800 Dual Channel (12.8GB / s) and graphics ARM Mali-T604 compatible with OpenCL 1.1, DirectX 11 and 1080p HD video acceleration “3D” hardware, supports a maximum resolution of 2560 Ã— 1600 pixels.
Among the other features we SoC supports USB 3.0, SATA-3 (6Gb/s), integrated audio, integrated modem (without support LTE, but this support can be added through third-party chips).
The Exynos 5250 SoC operates at a frequency of 1.7GHz and Samsung expected to have higher performance than the dual-core Snapdragon SoC architecture-based Qualcomm Krait. We look forward to when they make their appearance early this SoC benchmarks to form Samsung claims.
