Samsung makes its official entry to the Foundation as a founding member HSA

The Heterogeneous System Architecture Foundation , better known by its acronym HSA, just to welcome a handful of new members who give their full support to this initiative. Among them, Samsung, which became official entry to the group as one of its founding members.

In total, six new companies join HSA (plus Samsung), among which include Arteris, MulticoreWare, and Symbio. In could not be more pleased with the good start that has taken the initiative, and collaborative work among all members associated with the foundation will begin shortly.

The is a conglomerate created by AMD and partners (same Samsung, ARM and Texas Instruments, among others) that seeks to boost the gpu accelerated computing through the standard HSA, in addition, it is also a response to Intel and x86 . The idea is to create an ecosystem fed by both hardware makers who create applications for, and take advantage of the computing capabilities of video cards not only in the high performance segment, but oriented transverse to all users.
