Samsung Series 5 shows a hybrid ultrabook Windows 8
Although there are voices against hybrids , the truth is that many companies are betting on this format and computex has been the scene to make them known. Samsung is the latest to show their model, the 5 Series Hybrid PC. Not many technical details, but the concept is the one I’ve seen lately: a team that transforms from tablet to laptop to palm off a keyboard.
In a slight twist of design, though, the tablet is connected magnetically with the keyboard. The team of 11 inches promises 10 hours of battery life, and comes with a 2 MP camera front and rear of 8 MP. It also supports a stylus, and software use the same S-and S-Pen Galaxy Memo Note 10.1.
Of course, the team will run with Windows 8, and use an x86 processor instead of ARM (so that non-Windows RT). It is known that weighs 747 grams and is 9 mm thick.computex, computex 2012, Samsung, Samsung Series 5
