Samsung will invest heavily to improve its plant in Texas
According to the Austin Statesman, Samsung will give a major boost to its chip manufacturing plant in the state of Texas. In fact, half of the facilities will be improved, in an Investment that could reach up to 4,000 million dollars.
This plant is the same charge of Apple’s A5 processor . The idea is to improve the overall production line and in the second half of next year 2013 is to focus primarily on SoC type chips for smartphones and tablets in general.
Work on the plant began as, and in fact the section to improve and was closed. Of course, since Samsung anticipate that there will be no layoffs or anything like that, unlike previous repair in a similar plant that forced fire and then rehire staff.
