Seize the superyacht Steve Jobs for having an outstanding debt to its designer
A few months ago we told you about “Venus”, the ultra-luxurious yacht-art (and like an Apple Store) that Steve Jobs commissioned the leading French designer Philippe Starck to fabricate it before his death. Jobs could not see his project completed.
Well, the yacht that cost more than $ 130 million has just been seized in a port in Amsterdam because Starck still owed about $ 3.96 million for his work, which claimed the $ 11.8 million- , so that the designer made a claim to the property managers of the late co-founder of Apple to recover the money that is owed.
“The project was started in 2007 and there have been many detailed conversations between Jobs and Starck,” said attorney Designer. “They each had a lot of confidence, so there is not a very detailed contract.” The yacht will remain in the port of Amsterdam until payments are made.
