Senate approves digital TV law in Chile
The Senate today approved by 24 votes in favor and 3 against the draft law that permits the introduction of digital terrestrial television in Chile , four years after the start of the procedure of the law.
“Believe it or not, this project is dispatched,” said Senate President Jorge Pizarro, knowing the outcome of the vote. Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Pedro Pablo Errazuriz, said that with this we will shortly Digital TV in Chile.

To issue the TDT, we will use the Japanese-Brazilian standard ISDB-Tb, adopted in 2009. The law now requires the approval of the government.
