Sentenced to 10 years in prison hacker who leaked photos of Scarlett Johansson
Although we have often seen pictures of celebrities leaked private because someone had lost a cell with the happy photos, in this case was not an oversight that led the private life into the public sphere.
The Hacker Christopher Chaney (36) was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of hacking into email accounts, access to computers and electronics involved dozens of celebrities and other women, including including Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera , Mila Kunis and Renee Olstead.
Chaney got private photos of several of these women, including Johansson had taken pictures of herself naked and send them to her boyfriend. The photos appeared online.
“I’ve been really humiliated and embarrassed. I think Christopher Chaney actions are perverted and objectionable, “said Johansson. Several of the women involved were identified only by their initials. Among them, there are two that are not celebrities including a former co-worker whose nude photos Chaney were posted on the website and mailed to his father.
Judge James Otero said that such actions are equal to physical harassment, and that the defendant showed a “callous insensitivity to the victims.” Although the prosecution sought to six years in prison for Chaney, Otero said he was concerned that the man could not control his behavior, increasing jail time and monetary compensation down to $ 66,179 USD.
Chaney was arrested in October 2011 after a year of investigation into the hacking of celebrities. In his computer showed numerous private photos and a document met the victims’ personal information.
The prosecution appealed to the people to worry about the security of their electronic systems. Actually, it seems that the best decision is not to take pictures with scantily clad, but that does not stop people who have invasive of Privacy for other intimate or personal information is at the right of each to keep.
