Shoes with GPS, ideally to not miss the return of an inn
When the artist Dominic Wilcox was commissioned to design a product to promote the Global Footprint project in Scotland, decided to create a pair of Shoes with an integrated GPS to help users to walk back to their homes through a set of lights indicating the right direction and the distance yet to go.
According to Wilcox, the inspiration came from the Wizard of Oz ruby shoes and wearing the star. For this, after setting the address where you want to walk through a USB cable and a computer, you should hit the heels
and make a wish to operate GPS shoes’ No Place Like Home ‘, the name by which the baptized Wilcox.
Unfortunately the Invention are still in the design stage, so Wilcox has only a couple of these useful devices, which were also designed by shoemakers in Northampton, a region of the United Kingdom whose tradition in the production of footwear dating from the XV century.
