Showdown Dirt tested with 18 graphics cards NVIDIA and AMD

PC Games Hardware comes one of his regular reviews of the latest games, this time is the turn of the newest member of the series, Codemasters Dirt: Showdown, which is tested with 18 varied based cards GPUs from and AMD.

The test equipment used in its had the following configuration:

  • Intel Core i7-2600K overclocked to 4.5GHz.
  • Motherboard based on Intel P67 chipset.
  • 4GB of DDR3-1600 (CL 9-9-9-21).

The video cards were tested with Nvidia drivers 301.42 WHQL and 12.4WHQL, and operating system used was Windows 7 x64 SP1. Without further ado here some of the test:

Note: GeForce 260 and HD 4870 were tested in DirectX 10, the other GPU in DirectX 11.

Showdown Dirt 3 requires at least a DirectX 10 compatible GPU, so it does not work with old DirectX 9 GPUs or with older operating systems like Windows XP. The PC Games Hardware also bring us a scaling test of a microprocessor cores on AMD Phenom II X6 1100T:
