Simulating the performance of the AMD Radeon HD GPU 7970GHz Edition
According to latest rumors, possibly AMD launched during the course of this week its new GPU Tahiti 2 which is likely to be launched under the trade name of Radeon HD 7970 Edition GHz . From HT4U, as a prelude, we get a review which can simulate their performance using a video card MSI R7970 Lightning .
For this review used the powerful video card msi R7970 Lightning configuring various operating frequencies: 1000MHz, 1050MHz, 1070MHz (MSI Factory) and 1100MHz, which clashed with reference versions of Nvidia GPUs GeForce GTX 680 and amd Radeon HD 7970 .
Without further ado here some of the test:
In the evidence shows that the Radeon HD Edition 7970GHz exceed on average by 4.5% to the Radeon hd 7970 traditional difference that can grow up to 11% on factory overclocked versions, which are rumored to be set at frequencies higher than the 1.1GHz.
Undoubtedly these results although nearby do not compare performance between 15 and 20% higher than the chip is rumored, additional performance could be due to some improvement in the chip, or maybe just try that: a rumor.
