So is the new desktop with Windows Aero Glass 8

As indicated previously, Windows 8 will make some changes to the desktop interface , making it more similar to Metro and removing some features that had accompanied us so far. This will remove the slides and curving and the taskbar, giving a plain and simple.

The site Winunleaked got a series of screenshots showing the new look, plus an option to choose the colors of the windows.

The changes do not affect how you use the desktop, which stays the same, but remove the Aero Glass effect, introduced in Windows Vista. The default colors appear pastel, although will allow users to choose from a palette of tone colors they like.

Chances are that there are still changes to this before we get to the final version, although the design is well within what is expected in what Microsoft had announced.
