Sony invests USD $ 644 billion in Olympus

has just confirmed the support of which is coming some time talking . As anticipated from Nikkei , the Japanese giant to invest a large sum to stay with a somewhat smaller percentage of the company known for its cameras and medical equipment.

Strictly speaking, Sony will table a whopping $644 million to keep 11% of the shares of Olympus. The idea is to strengthen the market areas in which both move because Sony is working and developing new technology for endoscopes. In addition, both collaborate in producing their own cameras (without losing the individual brands or anything like that).

The truth is that, although the acquisition is a lower percentage in Olympus must be from and grateful for this new partnership. More remarkable still, seeing as Sony is making investments at this level even when a good time for the company headed by Kaz Hirai bypasses its best moments, neither financially nor in terms of brand image.
