SpaceX will begin to carry cargo to the International Space Station on October 7
After successfully achieving send its Dragon capsule to the International Space Station earlier this year, SpaceX set a date to start operations as private transport cargo into space: on October 7. Thus, the supply will start the installation for the first time by a company contracted by NASA for this task.
That day is expected to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, will deliver the first of a dozen charges to the International Space Station using the Dragon capsule, which operates without a crew. Although it is expected that everything goes well, in case there are problems also reserved a date for Oct. 8.
SpaceX has a contract with NASA for USD $1,600 million to perform twelve deliveries to the station in the coming months.
