Specifications Intel Atom CPUs for servers Centerton

We know that the launch of the soc Atom ‘Centerton’ for low-power servers is very close , and although we knew their micro-architecture, still unaware their models and frequencies available.

The SoC atom are based on the micro-architecture (Atom 2nd generation), made from the manufacturing process 32nm, and shaped by two x86 cores capable of running four threads of processing thanks to hyperthreading, memory controller DDR3-L mono-channel PCIe 2.0 controller, 1MB of L2; additionally have enabled hardware virtualization (VT-x).

We will have the following models:

  • Atom S1220 (Dual Core 1.6GHz, 8.1W TDP).
  • Atom S1240 (Dual Core 1.6GHz, 6.1W TDP).
  • Atom S1260 (Dual Core 2.0Ghz, 8.1W TDP).

Apparently the Atom S2140 is a model made up chips “with clips chosen” for its lower TDP. Their prices are still unknown.
