Taiwan would be on the brink of recession due to problems with technology exports
One of the cornerstones of the Economy in Taiwan is the technology and electronics in general, with companies like Acer and HTC being good contributors to stability in that country. Now, much is at risk from a fall of 0.16% of gross domestic product (GDP) in the nation during the last fiscal quarter, having even fears that it may enter into recession.
According to analysts, the situation depends on how foreign markets evolve, influencing directly Taiwan. In this, if the U.S. economy continues to disappoint, the crisis in the European area is maintained and the Chinese growth is not as good as expected, which is already happening, would be the factors to damage exports.
If Taiwan’s GDP is contracted for two consecutive fiscal quarters, i.e, six months, with technology as one of the industries which would be responsible for the decline of an entire country, as experts has anticipated, who see the area as the most vulnerable to this situation throughout Asia.
