Technical failure in the Amazon cloud falls originated from Netflix, and Instagram Pinterest
The cloud, the cloud … can have very good things, but others less so. Last night, the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) suffered a technical problem in its data center in Northern Virginia, which sent ashore Pinterest services, Instagram, Netflix, and some of the sites Betazeta.
According to the report, the source of all problems are due to the weather as thunderstorms hit the area and caused power outages. At the time of writing this news, Pinterest was already up, Netflix shows no errors (is it possible that the Netflix servers for the region are in another physical location?) But still Instagram fallen. Bad thing for addicts mobile photos.
While the source of the problem can hardly be blamed on Amazon, this will also serve as a good propaganda for other services like the new Google Compute Engine or Microsoft Azure. And it is not the first time that Amazon is involved in technical issues that end with renowned services unanswered, and what is, hordes of angry users and cursing the cloud. Things remote computer to which no choice but to get used to, just when these problems are beginning to turn Amazon into a ditto.
