Texas Instruments will not abandon the market for smartphones and tablets

A few days ago began circulating the web about rumors started by Reuters, which he suggested that Texas Instruments would leave the mobile device market , rumor apparently was not entirely successful, as Texas Instruments will continue in that market (at least for a year).

Although there are products based partly on the architecture of Cortex-A15 as Qualcomm (Snapdragon S4 Pro / Prime Krait architecture-based) and Apple (A6), they own proprietary modifications aimed at improving their consumption even at the cost of in theory have a slightly lower performance Cortex-A15 “true” and the latter is exactly what it promises to its SoCs Texas Instruments OMAP 5, which will be released next year.

The Texas Instruments SoC, come in a wide variety of models with up to two Cortex-A15 cores + Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX graphics 544, and will be focused on the market of smartphones and tablets.
