That would be the face of the ‘hobbit’ island of Flores
A few years ago the scientific community were surprised to discover on the island of Flores, Indonesia, the fossilized body of a being which measured more than a meter and was named Homo floresiensis, but is best known as the ‘hobbit’ Flores .
While some claim that the ‘hobbit’ is a new human species, others have suggested that it is simply a specimen of a species ill existing.
What is clear is the face that would probably have the ‘Hobbit’ of Flores, as the anthropologist specializing in faces of the University of Wollongong , Susan Hayes, reconstructed the face of Homo floresiensis from fossil remains. “I would not call ‘cute’, but it’s definitely very distinctive,” said the academic.
