The Daily lays off half its employees
The project, owned by News Corp, was hailed at its inception as a template to serve as an example for the future of newspapers. But that plan did not work very well.
The newspaper will be holding onto the people who remain, and sections such as sports and the opinion will be severely diminished, according to All Things D.
Although according to official figures The Daily has 100,000 subscribers in IOS and Android, the paper did not meet the expectations of Rupert Murdoch and now you are cutting resources, which previously were at a loss. There will be other changes to save money, such as pages not designed to be read vertically or horizontally, but only available in vertical.
