The Grasshopper rocket achieves lift off and land 365 meters
The SpaceX project is going well, at least one of their most interesting projects within the private space race, the ability to manage to find a way to build rockets capable of launching into space and then be able to land for reuse.
The company’s billionaire founder and visionary of Tesla, Elon Musk, tweeted a new video showing the capacity of its rocket tests grasshopper . The progress of this rocket are based on test flights in which checks gradually able to reach altitude, stabilization against wind and its ability to return to the takeoff point without suffering any damage.
This rocket is designed so that in the future space flight cheaper, because so far all the rockets are designed to be in the reentry disintegrate. This interesting “grasshopper” is a rocket Falcon 9 Merlin 1D engine and four steel legs and aluminum dampers able to return unharmed to earth.
Last Flight of the Grasshopper was last June 14 and managed to reach 365 meters high, holding still against the winds and return to the earth in a automated and controlled descent.
