The office of Steve Ballmer on the success of Windows 8
Windows 8 , the controversial operating system from Microsoft , managed to sell 40 million licenses in its first month and reach a market share of 1.25% (the 4.69% stake in Steam ). Not bad for the first few months of existence.
Although currently unknown sales pace of Windows 8, Softpedia report that sales volume of Windows 8 is a factor that will be crucial to remain as Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, it was rumored to have been his decision removing start menu in the current operating system.
According to Steve Ballmer, Windows 8 is doing quite well, so it is expected to remain in command of Microsoft until 2017 or 2018.
