These are the projects in Latin America that will compete in the finals of Imagine Cup

Next week will take place the world final of , event where hundreds of students compete by presenting innovative projects that seek to solve common problems. This year will be a total of 86 teams from around the world, 9 of them from Latin America.

In the list we find countries like Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Participants from Latin America will compete in three categories: World Citizenship, Games and Innovation. Then we let the nine projects with a vague description.

Usound, Argentina (Tweaks)
Category: Global Citizenship

It is an application for Windows Phone that allows dynamically adjust the volume of your phone from data entry audiometry. This allows people hipocorísticas can adapt your phone to an ideal level to be used for calls, music playback and other functions.

InsuOnLine, Brazil (Oniria Games for Health Brazil)

Another application for Windows Phone and Windows 8, which seeks to facilitate and improve the way of life in La Paz, Bolivia. The app collects the most important places of the city offering the most important information on each one, lets report suggests urban problems and places the user based on their location and amount of money you own.

An application for Windows Phone and Windows 8 that detects when we are busy and we should not be interrupted. Based on our agenda, the application is responsible for answering calls from our mobile phone or Skype telling the person what is the best time to contact us.

Kinectsiology, Chile (Lifeware)
Category: Innovation

Application Kinect being used for rehabilitation kinesiology. This allows therapists to prescribe exercises remotely and make sure you do it correctly. Kinect’s camera records the exercise videos and upload to the cloud so that the physiotherapist can later review.

AYNI, Ecuador (ANYI)

Application for Windows Phone and Windows 8, which seeks to turn ordinary people into volunteers. The user can view a map where there are projects or organizations that perform social support and be involved in that in which to exploit their skills. It also allows organizations to select projects to sponsor them.

PsyTrack, Puerto Rico (PsyTrack)
Category: Games

A game for Windows Phone, which aims to rescue the protagonist, Piggy the pig in a farm and escape in the shortest amount of time, while other animal rescues and prevents death. Psytrack focuses on the scanning speed.

Karaoke Smart, Peru (M & Z Team)
Category: Innovation

These are the projects in Latin America that will compete in the finals of Imagine Cup image 5

An application for Windows Phone aimed at karaoke venues in which customers can order the songs you want from your phone. The application makes finding songs and also allows you to order food or drink in the same order.

Lazarillo, Venezuela (Lazarillo NET)
Category: World Citizenship

A support system for the blind person who uses Kinect to attend and entertain the user. The system is controlled through voice and has GPS technology, geolocation maps using Bing and Social Networks

The Imagine Cup final will take place from 8 to 11 July in St. Petersburg, Russia. Participants compete to win one of the prizes on offer the first three places in each category.
