They open the first store in the world of 3-D printers
MakerBot Industries today in New York opened the first store of printers in three dimensions with the intention of promoting the movement of the people who design and make objects as a hobby. The store will be located in the neighborhood of NoHo , and sell 3-D printers, parts and print services in one place.
“This store is the first 3-D printers in the United States,” said company spokeswoman Jenny Lawton. “We have not reviewed well in the rest of the world, but we’re pretty sure that should be the first of its kind”.
The company was founded in 2009 and now offers four different machines to model in three dimensions. The final model was debuted today with the store and called Replicator 2 , a device the size of 6,700 cubic centimeters with a resolution of up to 100 microns, only slightly thicker than a sheet of ordinary paper.
Would that then masifiquen 3-D printers so that price reduction because the Replicator 2 costs a whopping U.S. $2,199.
