CEO Tim Cook, decided to forgo $ 75 million that you qualify for the dividend the company paid to its shareholders.

This is the first time since 1995 that Apple pays dividends to shareholders. And decided not to accept them. Although there was no explanation for this refusal, apparently, Cook does not want Apple’s decision to pay investors look like the CEO was looking for a profit. Also show a commitment from the CEO to the future of the company.

“Upon request of Mr. Cook, none of his restricted stock units will participate in dividend equivalents,” said Apple. Not that the CEO is to be left with nothing, yet receive $ 1.5 million for 13,754 shares of the company he keeps.
