Time magazine hired journalists to cover Hurricane Sandy with Instagram
Time Magazine hired five photographers to cover the news of the arrival of Hurricane Sandy in different parts of the east coast, but with the proviso that the photographic coverage will be made through the Social application Instagram images.
For the proposal worked Michael Christopher Brown, Benjamin Lowy, Ed Kashi, Andrew Quilty and Stephen Wilkes, located in different parts of the area of influence of the most violent weather phenomenon that was the area of the United States hundreds of years.
In the series of images of the cover you can see the moments before the arrival of Sandy, and preparation of citizens to protect their lives and belongings as much as possible.
There is also a series of images with the aftermath of the hurricane made landfall on 29 October, causing flooding and damage in several communities.
All five photojournalists galleries can be viewed on the Instagram account of Time magazine, which has more than 200,000 followers.
