Toshiba netbook Windows 8 shows RT based on the Ti OMAP SoC 4470
During the last event Computex 2012 , Texas Instruments showed some Windows 8 tablets RT based on their OMAP ARM SoC , but even a little late, we get a demonstration of a notebook Windows 8 RT soc based on Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP 4470 .
Toshiba is the manufacturer of the notebook, which is based on omap 4470 SoC, consisting of two arm Cortex-A9 cores running at 1.8GHz, memory controller integrated dual-channel LPDDR2 and Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX graphics 544. Without further ado here’s proof:
The team is able to successfully run Windows 8 RT (formerly known as Windows 8 on ARM), and could become a great alternative to other notebooks x86, or smartbooks of Qualcomm.
With these products gradually begin to make sense of challenging ARM claims aimed at OEMs x86 .4470, arm, cortex a9, demonstration, dual core, Imagination Technologies, IT, notebook, omap, PowerVR, SGX 544, soc, texas-instruments, Toshiba, Windows 8 RT
